// April Vardy & Marnie Hungerford

Dance

Back-to-back solo performances from two incredible contemporary dancers. Welcome to Susan’s humble abode. You may roam, you may sit, you may even admire the pictures that hang on the walls. Susan has a lot to offer and even more to say, this is an afternoon tea you won’t forget right away. ‘The place in which I’ll fit will not exist until I create it’ is a solo work, performed by April Vardy and is an exploration into what it means to create movement from only yourself and your body, to be truly alone.

A Central Queensland native, Marnie now resides in Perth, after three years of training at WAAPA. Stepping into the role of a dance maker, Marnie enjoys creating dance theatre that shows the fragility of the human condition and the physicalities that come with emotion. Graduating from WAAPA’s honours program, LINK Dance Company in 2016, April has had the opportunity to work with many national and internationally renowned choreographers. Curious to find a new movement language, April is interested in what makes her move.
